Has someone in your life told you about adaptive sports? Are you interested in learning more about sport and fitness, but not sure where to start? Or maybe you are simply looking to become more active this year? Fitness Foundations is the program for you!

 

Dairyland Sports proudly presents, Fitness Foundations! Join us for this innovative 10-session series of weekly workouts, coached by Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer, Austin Schyvinck, with additional volunteers from the UW-Madison Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Fitness Foundation is the perfect program for both newcomers & experienced athletes living with a physical disability - all ages are welcomed!

 

The goal of Fitness Foundations is to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where individuals can learn, explore, and improve their overall fitness levels in a group setting. 

  • Group Fitness & Strength Training - In-Person!   We welcome seated and standing athletes of all physical abilities, ages, & experience levels. Group fitness classes are developed & led by Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer, Austin Schyvinck (read about Austin here). Join us for in-person workouts every Friday evening from 5:00 - 6:00 PM at Forward Athletics - this is a great way to meet new friends and to meet your fitness goals in a safe and inclusive group setting.

  • Goal Setting!  Did you know that if you write your goals down, you are 40% more likely to achieve them? Did you know that if you share those goals and weekly progress with a group that you are 75% more likely to achieve them? We encourage participants to use Foundational Fitness as an opportunity to share and achieve those fitness & performance goals, no matter how big or small!
