Pillars of Sucess
ADVOCATE 

We strive to advocate for the recognition and inclusion of all adaptive athletes in Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest. We work at the local, national, and international level to promote and support adaptive athletes in the pursuit of their individual fitness and athletic goals. 

EDUCATE

We work to provide educational opportunities to adaptive athletes, families, health professionals, and community members to highlight the value of adaptive sports in the health and well-being of individuals with diverse abilities. 

SUPPORT

We aim to be your "one-stop-shop" for resources and access to  adaptive sports opportunities in Wisconsin. We support local and national adaptive sports clubs, teams, and events to provide adaptive athletes with the best opportunities to learn, train, and compete.

JACOB GRABOSKI

Founder, President & Executive Director

Jacob grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2016, as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2020. Jacob is a currently a licensed physical therapist with special interest in treating adaptive athletes for sports-related injuries, providing coaching and consultation to athletes and families about opportunities to get involved in adaptive sports and recreation, and improving overall access to local community-based sports & fitness programming for individuals of all abilities. Jacob is committed to the growth of and success of Dairyland Sports so that athletes of all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds can discover the immeasurable benefits of participating in sport and fitness across the lifespan.

DEB JENKS

Founder & Vice President

Deb has been with part of Dairyland Sports family since the inaugural Dairyland Games in 2016.  She works closely with local, regional and national groups to help with the planning of the annual Dairyland Games as well as to promote Dairyland Sports’ mission which is to spread awareness through education, programming and inclusion of adaptive sports in Wisconsin and beyond. Deb brings with her 30 years of experience in athletics and sports medicine/rehabilitation, both personally and professionally.  Deb currently works as a Licensed Athletic Trainer for SSM Health in Madison, WI. In addition to her time with Dairyland Sports, Deb has traveled both locally and internationally as a coach/medical staff for Paralympic and Adaptive Sports teams. She is currently part of the Team USA Medical Staff for the 2021 Paralympic Games.  Deb resides in the Madison area with her husband and family. She enjoys time with her family and friends, flipping houses with her husband, outdoor adventures and traveling.

Callie Scott

Secretary

Originally from San Diego, California, Callie often spends her weekends watching sports and going for long walks near Lake Mendota. In 2021, Callie graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and will complete her certificate degree in Adaptive and Assistive Technologies at The Ohio State University online in May of 2022. She is an advocate for adaptive sports and is excited to provide accessible opportunities to all ages. As secretary, she provides assistance to daily tasks and assignments, while also providing volunteer services during the annual Dairyland Games, Mad City Invitational, and Mindful Movements programs.

BRANDON HOLSTEIN

Director of Finance & Community Outreach Coordinator

Brandon hails originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in 2011 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in coaching. He is the Account Manager for the Madison Area Sports Commission that helped bring the Adaptive Sports USA Junior Nationals to Madison and ultimately helped form Dairyland Sports and the annual Dairyland Games. Brandon is passionate about adaptive sports and currently lives in Windsor, Wisconsin with his wife, Kelsey and daughter, Everly.

AUSTIN SCHYVINCK

Director of Programming & Athlete Development Coordinator

Austin is an ACSM/NCHPAD Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer and works with people of all abilities who are pursuing their athletic and fitness goals. He also works as a Rehabilitation Technician at the UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Austin received his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology along with a certificate in Promoting Activity for Diverse Abilities from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After learning about the many barriers to physical activity for people with disabilities, Austin was drawn to join Dairyland Sports in their mission to create, promote, and advocate for adaptive sports in Wisconsin and the greater Midwest.

TEAL EVANS

Director of Marketing & Communications

Originally from Shawano, Wisconsin, Teal spent weekends playing in the lakes and forests that scatter the northwoods. Teal is a passionate advocate for adaptive sport, and as an avid outdoors woman herself she feels that sports and activity should be accessible for all people. Teal is the Operations Manager for the Centers for Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she brings her equity lens to students pursuing healthcare and law careers. Teal loves cooking, hiking, skiing, running, gardening and spending time with her husband and great dane, Moose.

JENNA SCHNEIDER

Director of Education

In 2019 Jenna graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Bachelor’s degrees in both Kinesiology and Spanish and will graduate with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2022. She plans to practice in the field of pediatrics and has always enjoyed working with children and their families. Jenna brings a lens from the medical perspective as well as a background in coaching to the Dairyland team. She is passionate about accessible and inclusive opportunities for kids of all abilities to engage in physical activity with their peers and is excited to play a role in promoting participation.

MICHAEL RUSIN

Programming Assistant

Michael is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who has planned and facilitated adaptive sport programming in a hospital and community-based setting. He has coached a Paralympic Boccia team, assumed the position of a Paralympic sports assistant for several athletes, and has supported injured veterans at the National Veteran Wheelchair Games. Michael is passionate about planning therapeutic programming where athletes can safely develop resiliency to their barriers.
